About Two Rooms and a Boom

Two Rooms and a Boom is a hidden-role party game developed by Alan Gerding and Sean McCoy. The official publisher describes a game of two teams in two separate rooms: the Blue Team protects its President, while the Red Team tries to place its Bomber in the same room at the end.

The conversation and negotiation are the game. Players share information, choose leaders, and exchange hostages while they decide whom to trust. Tuesday Knight Games offers an official Print-n-Play version for free, but its product page does not grant permission to redistribute the files. This entry therefore links to the publisher instead of mirroring a PDF or using publisher artwork.

How to play in one minute

  1. Divide the group between two rooms and deal each player a facedown character card.
  2. Talk, share information as you choose, and select a leader in each room.
  3. Each leader chooses hostages to trade to the other room when the round ends.
  4. Repeat the timed rounds, with each round shorter than the last.
  5. Reveal cards after the last exchange: the Red Team wins if the Bomber is with the President; otherwise the Blue Team wins.
