About this printable chore die
The chore dice template from PrintablePaper.net (Savetz Publishing) is a single-page cube net with a chore printed on each face: laundry, dishes, clutter, paper, dust and vacuum. Cut it out, fold along the lines and glue the tabs, and you have a die that decides what gets cleaned next. It is a small trick that works surprisingly well with children and reluctant flatmates, because the die, not a parent, is giving the orders.
It pairs with the same publisher’s zone cleaning die, which picks a room instead of a task. Roll both and you get “vacuum the living room”.
How to use it
- Print on card stock for a die that survives more than one evening; plain paper works if you glue it onto a cereal box.
- Cut around the outline, score the fold lines with a ruler, fold and glue the tabs.
- Set a timer (ten or fifteen minutes), roll the die and do the chore that comes up. Roll again when the timer rings.
